Wendy Nieves is a graduate student in the Spanish M.A.-Ph.D. program with a concentration in Literature in the Department of Hispanic Studies at the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, University of Houston. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature with focuses on Education and Translation. Her research interests include Caribbean and U.S. Latinx women’s literature, Feminist Studies, and literary translation. She is currently an instructor in the Spanish as a Second Language program at the University of Houston, where she has taught several courses.

Wendy Nieves es estudiante de posgrado en el programa de Maestría y Doctorado en Español, con concentración en Literatura, en el Departamento de Estudios Hispánicos del College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences de la Universidad de Houston. Tiene una Licenciatura en Lengua y Literatura Inglesa con enfoques en Educación y Traducción. Sus intereses de investigación incluyen la literatura de mujeres caribeñas y latinas en Estados Unidos, los Estudios Feministas y la traducción literaria. Actualmente, es instructora en el programa de Español como Segunda Lengua en la Universidad de Houston, donde ha impartido varios cursos.
